Sky Scrapers

Chicago, the windy city, is also the birth-place of sky-scrapers. The Wallis Tower (previously called Seers Tower) at a quarter of a mile tall (120 floors) was for many years the tallest building in the world, displaced from this accolade by the Petronius Tower, Malaysia. It was a neck stretching experience standing on the ground-floor looking directly up-wards. In my opinion this was the safer and much more enjoyable viewing spot than standing on glass-floored glass-walled balcony on the Skywalk 108 floors up (and paying lots of good money for the “thrill”).
